St. Thomas’ Church a choir, with organ accompaniment, usually provides the music for the Sunday morning Mass and for the major feasts of the Church.
St. Thomas’ choir is led by the organist/choir mistress, June Dante and assisted by the choir conductor Anna Houlahan Tel: (01634) 360164). Choir practice is on Friday evenings between 7.00 p.m. – 8.00 p.m. New members are always very welcome.
At the Saturday evening Mass, the organ supports Hymn singing. There is no music at the Sunday evening Mass.
Church music at St Peter’s for the Sunday morning Mass is between a folk group and organ accompaniment on a weekly basis.
Maureen Boulton leads the St Peter’s folk group. (Tel: (01634) 377447), meeting in each other’s homes on Thursday evenings.
